WIN! Cooks Set of 3 Bamboo Cutting Boards

Hands down, one of the biggest complaints I hear from people about “going green” is that it simply costs too much. This is one of the reasons why I decided to partner with JCPenney because we’re able to create high-quality, stylish products under our Simply Green designation that do not break the bank. Everything from green bath towels for just $6.99 to everyday recycled glass tumblers ($19.99 for a set of four), all of my friends are pleasantly surprised to find very green (eco-friendly) goods that don’t cost a lot of green (cash). And here’s another example: this set of THREE (yes, three) Cooks bamboo cutting boards for just $19.99.
In a previous post, I talked about bamboo being a great renewable resource because it’s a fast growing grass that can be made into a whole bunch of products, including the softest sheets you’ll ever sleep on. It can also be extremely durable and tough, like this tough-as-nails cutting board set which can easily become your everyday choice for dicing and chopping right in the kitchen. The larger cutting board is perfect for serious chopping; the medium one is great for vegetable prep and the small once could be used as a serving platter on the dining room table. However you use them, you’ll appreciate the fact their eco-friendly and durable. In my book, that’s a win-win combination.
You know how this works: leave a comment why you need a set of Cooks Bamboo Cutting Boards and I’ll pick a random commenter to win them all.
Good luck!

CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. Congrats to Amanda for winning. She says: “These would make great cheese serving platters.”
We used a random number generator to choose the winner.

This set of cutting boards will be a good way to promote and educate being green to my mother who is the cook at home. Whenever I try to teach her how to be green in her daily life, she will find it troublesome or time consuming. It will be great to tell her it is easy being green!
Difficult as it may be, my partner, “The World’s Greatest Cook” (and good thing too as I don’t cook) has managed to almost destroy the last bamboo cutting board - just by overwork! Sp he needs new ones!
My lone cutting board is so worn out, the center is actually concave. I would love to have just one of the bamboo boards! I can’t imagine how wonderful it would be to have a set of three.
I try to live green wherever possible, but so far have not done so with cutting boards. I use this kitchen tool at least twice a day, and my old, beat up plastic ones have been better days. I’d love to go greener with this set of bamboo ones!!
I don’t even own a cutting board - whenever I chop up meat, or vegetables, I use a plate. I would love, love, love to have these cutting boards!
Those are GORGEOUS! And my cutting boards are so old! We’re doing so much cooking at home now that we’ve joined a CSA. I could definitely put those to good use!
I have a couple of nice hardwood cutting boards already, so I’d tuck one into a picnic kit and take another to work. Having freshly cut fruits and veggies while working is a great treat!
I could definitely use this wonderful set of cutting boards because my current ones have seen better days. What an awesome giveaway!
There is nothing better than a good, durable and earth friendly set of cutting boards to complete your kitchen! This is definitely one of the most used “tools” in our kitchen! Thanks.
I’m always in use of more cutting boards and love the look and eco-friendliness of bamboo!
I am in need of new cutting boards. However it just seems like it is one of those things I never buy for myself. It is time for the old ones to be laid to rest.
I would love to have these to keep one and give the others to my parents, who love bamboo as a plant and have some other Asian kitchen baskets made out of bamboo. I need a new cutting board very badly! My old one is ready to retire and become part of a crafts project or an emergency trivet.
I need them ’cause my other boards suck! plan and simple.
What a great giveaway. I’ve been eyeing bamboo cutting boards for a while now, but haven’t made the purchase. I could definitely use them because my old plastic ones have seen much better days.
What a great “green” gift this would be for the next bridal shower I go to.
These cutting boards are lovely to look at, functional and green. A much-needed addition to my kitchen!
These cutting boards look great! I would love to use an eco-friendly set of cutting boards as I chop food up for cooking. While they are green and eco-friendly, they are also very nice looking. I will be looking for these in the stores
Bamboo is simply fabulous! Got such a bad rap there in the 70’s what with all the tacky fake bamboo plants & people planting the invasive bamboo only to have it take over their yard like kudzo. So glad folks finally realized what nifty products can come of bamboo! Count me in on this giveaway!!
Is it wrong that I want to use all three of these at once? Little cheese, some veggies, a larger meal?
These are beautiful! Our current cutting boards are plastic, old, stained, and chipped. We just moved into a new home and are trying to be as eco-friendly as possible - these cutting boards would be a great way to update our style and our greenness at the same time!
I am a mom of two young boys, ages 1 & 2, who seem to be virus magnets. I’ve recently purchased a cookbook that is full of immunity boosting recipes that are great for children. I’ve also started training for a marathon and have had to “transform” the way that I eat. Needless to say, we have been using our Magic Bullet daily to prepare smoothies. I am constantly in need of a cutting board, and am thrilled that there is an eco friendly option!
My old (plastic) cutting boards are getting old & worn… I’d love new boards for all the cooking I do for my hubby
