WIN! Recycled Glass Decorative Rod set by Studio

I think anytime you have a chance to buy recycled products, do it. If you’re like me, you put out your empty glass jars and bottles, aluminum and tin cans, recyclable plastics and newspaper out for recycling. But do you ever wonder where it goes? Well, recycling is just the first step in a 3-step process. The next step is to find companies willing to buy the recyclable trash and turn it into a new, recycled product. Then, the final step is that we—the consumer—buy recycled products to help the process going.
There are many everyday recycled items you may be buying that are recycled. There are countless recycled paper products out there, ranging from copy paper to toilet paper to even your Starbucks coffee cup. And JCPenney sells lots of recycled PET plastic products (plastic water bottles) that are made into cushy bed pillows, throw rugs and even fleece jackets.
But when I saw these Recycled Glass Decorative Rod Sets by Studio coming out, I had to stop and stare. They are just a lovely product that could work in just about any home and blue-greenish recycled glass finials are just ethereally beautiful.
I think we need to share the recycled love by giving a set of these recycled glass rods away. The winner will have a choice of 28-48”, 48-86” or 86-120” pair of curtain rods. To win, all you have to do is leave a comment saying which room you’d use these in and anything else you feel like adding. I’ll pick one lucky reader to win. Good luck! Winner will be announced Friday, June 26th.

UPDATE: Congrats to LENA for winning. We used a random number generator to choose the winner. Lena says: We are in the process of redoing my daughter’s room and this might be the nice finishing touch. Very cute!

I would use the lovely window rods in my studio / craft room I am putting together. I decided I needed a space to repurpose, reuse and reinvent. The rods will give me the chance to reinevent some window treatments. Thanks.
I am always looking for interesting ways to hang quilts and fibre art on my walls. I think these rods would be so wonderful and hip. I am looking at my entryway where we meet and greet our friends and family. It would truly be a conversation starter.
I would use them in the dining room — they’d look great!
I would love the rods for my daughter’s bedroom at her college apt. She is a student at SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry and her passion in life is GREEN and Recycling. She was brought up camping and spending time outdoors and someday will be a Forest Engineer. Hopefully she will be on the forefront of solving many environmental issues in her life time. She would really appreciate this recycled item!
I would put these in my sun room, the glass would have lots of light to reflect thru it and the color will match my walls perfectly!
I recently moved into a new house and as my taste and the previous owner’s taste clash fantastically, I’m in the process of replacing all fixtures and curtains in the house. I would use these rods in the master bedroom, which receives sunlight almost all day long.
They’ll go in our bedroom. They’re calming and will offset the vibrant energy of the wall color. I’ve always wanted a set, but don’t see much value in buying new materials. I highly value reuse and re-purpose.
With new neighbors next door we are finding we need more privacy in our office so I need to hang curtains. The former neighbor used that room as a never used guest room, the new people have a child and it is his bedroom. I feel his little eyes on my when working on the computer at night.
These are really beautiful! I would definitely use them in my living room.
This is a difficult choice, but these would have to go in our living room/great room - they are really beautiful!
hi!
I’d use it in my Master Bedroom. =)
Hi there! I would use these fantastic rods in my office. They would look great with the decor! thanks!
I think they would look great in my Master bedroom. The room has windows on the East side and so it gets great morning sunlight. It would be beautiful.
Hi Danny, I would love to use the rods in my family room. We have lots of windows looking out over the lake and a lovely retro rattan decor.
Hello!
I would use these in my at-home office. I am self-employed and spend a lot of time in our office. What a lovely addition these fantastic curtain rods would make to a room I spend many hours in! Thank you for this offer!
I would love to use these on the window in my daughter’s room. She’s three months old and we’re in the process of moving her from the bassinet in our room to her own decorated room. I love the idea of using green products, organic produce and leaving less of a carbon foot print. I hope to pass that passion on to my own children!
Hi!
My fiance and I just bought a house and we were wondering how we could spruce up the windows in our otherwise drab kitchen…this seems perfect! They’ll make our kitchen look a little more modern while off-setting the yellow walls perfectly!
Thanks for the giveaway!
It’d be really nice to win something nice for our house. I really need a pick me up. Good luck to all.
These would look great in my living room! They’re so pretty!
I’ve actually been looking for a new curtain rod for my bedroom (my current one is bent in the middle and looks all wonky). The smoky color of the glass globes would look fantastic with my grey curtains. And as always I’m a big fan of re-using whenever possible.
I would like to use them in my bedroom~they’d be perfect!
I’d use them in my living room! They would go great with the curtain panels
I could use a set of the 86-120 inches for my bedroom…I have not hung up my curtains because I do not have rods to hang them up on! These are very nice…
I would use the rod set for the new white curtains in my sunny living room. I’m trying to use as many recycled and re-structured materials as possible, so this would fit in nicely!
I would use them in the kitchen
These would be awesome in my living room. My door wall is the main feature in the room and these beautiful rods would spark conversation and allow me to share with my guests a wonderful idea about recycling and how those products are used.
We are pulling the plug on CA life and purchasing a fixer upper in Asheville, NC area that needs some serious cosmetic attention. We’re planning to integrate as many recycled/green elements as possible so these would be a great addition to the living room. Some scary bad stuff is in their now:)
I would use these in my master bedroom. They would look absolutley stunning with me oak bedroom furniture. I would also add a second set for the master retreat and have a very cozy calming area in my house to relax in. Especially early morning when the sun is just coming into my bedroom windows it would reflect the light onto the walls and it would be erethreal.
These would be beautiful in my master bedroom.
Hope I win!
These would look lovely in the living room of our apartment. Thanks for posting great contests!
This would look amazing in my new apartment. I’m going to attend pharmacy school in the fall and haven’t shopped around for furniture yet. I plan on buying green products and using green methods to cook, clean, and do other chores aroud the place. So excited!!
oh..and this would probably go in my bedroom if I win =)
I would use these in my home office. I have been looking for rods so that I can put up curtains in my office and complete the office as the windows look really bare right now. I am totally loving the recycled glass that come with rod!!
I would use these in my art room/guest room which I am getting ready for a visit from my daughter and her children who are coming for the summer. I love these!
Bedroom! With dark curtains so the sun doesn’t wake me up so early!
I’d put them in my dining room. My neighbors are moving and I don’t want the new people seeing in! They’re lovely!
They’re cute! I’d put them in my bedroom.
They would go in my bedroom because I’ve been planning to paint it blue like the sky for a while now. They would be perfect!
